4. Prayer & Spreading the Good News

1. Christ-Centered Teaching

At Cornerstone Community Church, we are committed to expository, Christ-centered preaching and teaching of God’s Word. Because Jesus Christ is the central figure of history and Scripture and the crowning achievement of God’s redemptive work on our behalf, He is also therefore the central focus of our Pulpit, Sunday school, Youth, Home group, and Midweek ministries. We believe that it is essential for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed boldly, accurately, and consistently in order that true life transformation be realized.

2. Holy Spirit Attended Fellowship

Because the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit abide with us and in us, at Cornerstone Community Church we seek authentic fellowship with each other in the presence of the triune God. Practically, this means we strive to carry out the “Great Commandment” of loving God, and our neighbours as ourselves with our entire being. We are a community of faith that seeks to build up one another in the love and grace of Christ as we employ our God-given spiritual gifting.

3. Radical Life Change & Responsive Worship

We believe that God’s redemptive revelation to us through the Gospel of Jesus Christ calls us to radical life change and responsive worship. To that end, we seek to grow together in the image of Jesus Christ and in His holiness, by following His life and His commands, in His strength through the grace of the Gospel, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit. As the Lord Jesus reveals His glory to us, we find deep joy in responding to Him in Holy Spirit led worship.

4. Prayer & Spreading the Good News

No church, no ministry, no believer in Christ can grow or be sustained without a healthy, consistent commitment to prayer. Cornerstone Community Church is resolutely committed to actively and fervently calling on the King of Kings to advance His will, His kingdom and His glory in the heart of our lives, our church, and our community. We believe the “Great Commission” call to: make disciples of all nations, belongs to every local church.
